I will get pics

I don't have much time to write much. I'm not surprised though. I've been super busy with work, and family. Josh started school this last month and he's gone until about 9 every night. It's rough, but so worth it. I would so much rather he do school now while the kids are young.
Lincoln is growing growing growing. He already weighs about 16 lbs. He's almost 5 months old!! It doesn't feel like 5 months. I seriously feel like I just had him. He is just as chunky as Porter was. I was looking at pictures of the boys (which will come soon) and they are identical! It is amazing how alike they are. Lincoln is rolling over and he wants to crawl so bad. He's doing pretty well sleeping through the night. Some nights are better than others. Porter is so smart! He is always asking questions and never stops talking. He is doing well at school and learning so much. I am so glad he is there. I have been super busy with work. I feel like I got back from maternity leave and haven't taken a breath since. We did get NAEYC accredited!!! That was a HUGE HUGE deal for our center and me personally.
Anyway, my kiddos need me. More to come.....later. :)

Porter knows...

Porter know his letters, numbers, and can write his name. (This picture was the very first time he wrote his name. April 22nd) He is so good at it now. He is getting really good at puzzles and can do 35 pieces by himself. I don't mean to brag, but my kid is really smart.

Porter says funny things

I just wanted to remember some of the things that Porter has said recently.

Seeing someone parasailing "Wow, they are flying with a tent"

"Puzzle Puzzle comb down your hair"

Putting his one arm in the air "Mommy? That what superman does?"

"That's a good choice mommy. I'm so happy"

There are a million more. I just wish I could remember.....

Some Pictures

My awesome aunt did a photo shoot for us yesterday. Lincoln turned 5 weeks.

Lincoln

Lincoln Patrick was born on April 12th, 2010. We went in at noon and they put me on Pitocin. 1/2 hour later they broke my water and 1/2 hour later they took me off Pitocin cuz I was going on my own. I had tested positive for Group B and needed to be on the antibiotics for at least 4 hours. They were really worried that I wouldn't even make it the 4 hours. I did get an epidural. I don't know how people do it without. :) I tried to "tough it out" for a little bit, but it really hurts. Labor was REALLY fast. I started pushing with contractions and only went through about 5 contractions and Lincoln was born at 4:45! Lincoln was completely healthy. Not a problem with either one of us. We got to come home Wednesday morning. I think one of my favorite parts about having a baby is 1. The baby and 2. I love watching Josh be so proud. Josh is a FANTASTIC daddy and he is really good at giving both kids all the attention that they need.
Plus saves some time for me. :)
Porter was so cute when he met Lincoln. He wanted to touch every part of him and did. He would name every body part and get so excited that Lincoln had it too. One moment I'll never forget is when Porter pulled Lincoln's hat up a little and said "oh my gosh, he has small brains"! He would constantly compare hand sizes, and of course gave ALOT of kisses.

Funny Story

Porter and I were in Smiths just getting a couple of quick things for dinner. I really really had to go to the bathroom and decided I couldn't hold it. I told Porter that we needed to look for a bathroom. The whole way to the bathroom Porter was saying "Mommy is poooopy. Needs to go potty." I was kinda laughing, yet embarrassed. Anyway, I couldn't leave Porter to roam, so like any good mom I took him into the stall with me. I gave him the big task of holding my purse. He did great. He held my purse and was just talking about how we were at the store. I went #1 and was turning to flush. Porter had gone to the toilet, looked inside and said "Wow Mommy, Good job. I'm so happy" Getting praise from a potty training 2 year old is the greatest feeling a mom can get while in a public restroom.

Updates

We had a great holiday season. Christmas was fun. My favorite part of all of Christmas was Porter opening presents. Even if he wasn't the person doing the unwrapping he was totally engaged. He would say "wha-sis-it?" Super cute! He is talking so much. Using sentences and only getting better. He knows colors, shapes, can count to 10 in english and spanish, and is now super super interested in text. He is always asking what something says. He is really into spelling his name. He spells it...P O R T O R. We are really trying to teach him that it's portEr but then he just spells it P O R T E O R. He's a little confused but for a barely 2 year old, I'd say he's one smart kid!

His birthday was fun. We had family over for cake and ice cream. He didn't really understand why there were Mickey decorations and a whole bunch of people there, but he did have fun.

Back to Christmas, Dave, Veancha, and Kairi were able to come out on the 12th and they stayed until the 27th. It was so nice to have them. I loved watching the kids feed off each other. They were teaching each other things and talking to each other the whole time. It was a sad day when they left. We got to have our whole family together this season. Janae got home from China on the 17th. I was so happy to see her. I had missed her so much. She learned so much about herself and had an awesome time teaching in China. My dad didn't have such a great Christmas week. He went in to the ER with intense pain and stayed overnight. Christmas Eve he had surgery to remove infection caused by an abcess bursting. He wasn't able to come home until the 26th so it made Christmas a little wierd not having mom and dad at home. We were able to go visit them in the hospital on Christmas and we celebrated with the family on the 26th. I am just happy that he is okay. Still recovering from surgery, but doing well.
Work has been super busy, with me being management I feel like I live there. I am always working or unfortuatly always thinking about work stuff. I love my job, but am super busy.
I am 24 weeks in 2 days. I am super excited to have another baby. I love being a mommy and nothing else brings me more happiness. I want the baby out. This pregnancy has been a little hard for me. I feel, I don't know the word...guilty for being pregnant. Well, I don't feel guilty one bit, but when I am around people who have lost kids, I can't help feeling like I need to hide my stomach or something. I don't feel like too many people are excited for me. I know people are, My mom, dad and sisters are super excited, as for the rest of my families, they have had a hard year in losing kids. I feel like I try to be sensitive, but it's hard to be excited and talk about pregnancy around them. So, in turn, I feel like I have been hiding my ever increasing (kinda cute) growing tummy. It is so fun for me to feel the baby moving. I love knowing that soon I will have another little boy to bring us joy. At least both me and baby have been healthy. :) I am happy about being pregnant, I've been waiting for a long time to get pregnant. It's been a struggle to get pregnant, and I can't let people being mad at me make me feel any less excited about my baby.
Anyway, the holidays were fun and even better was to have a little bit of time off work. :) I love this time of year, to see family and to eat good food. Play games and relax. Now it's the New Year, which means back to work...and back to trying to fit any type of exercise in...ha ha!

It's a BOY

We found out that we are having a little BOY! We are super excited. We both wanted a boy but we both swore it was a girl. In the ultrasound, the doc said it was a boy and we both looked up at her and said "are you sure"? Both of us were VERY surprised and excited. I am happy that Porter will have a little buddy to play with.
