Need some advice

My friend is dating the wrong person. He is addicted to porn. I am SURE he isn't faithful. He hates his family. He doesn't want anything to do with the church but my friend says she wants to get married in the temple. She says that he makes her happy, but every time they talk they either fight, or just sit there. She treats her family so poorly whenever he is around or even on the phone. I think she feels obligated to him because he proposed and she said yes. He is all wrong for her. I don't know how to help her get rid of him. Any ideas?

Survey

So, lately with the job change and the "no pay" period that comes with changing jobs I have felt like I should help contribute to the families money situation. It's not terrible, but we need to get the bills paid. So I am into this silly "habit" of actually doing the surveys that are asked to be done on the bottom of the receipts from any store. I know it won't really help us in the next two weeks but I have actually had some fun doing them, and hope that one day.....maybe one day.....I will get rewarded with free money! I know...silly me.

Visit from Dave

My brother and his wife Veancha came to visit this last weekend. Dave is in the Navy and stationed now in New Orleans. They just moved there and still had all their stuff here in Utah. So, the point of the trip was to pick up their stuff from storage and show the baby off. :) It was am interesting trip. I haven't ever gotten alone with Veancha, just major personality differences and different thinking and opinions on alot of things. Well, I was dreading them even coming for that reason. But, thankfully, Veancha and I actually bonded a little bit. Don't know if it was that we both have babies now, or what. But we really connected and I don't really have hard feelings for her as much anymore. I am so happy that they came and that I could let go of some of those feelings for my family. It's so relieving.

They got to bless their little girl while they were here. It was nice. Dave blessed her at the house with all the family. This is little Kairi belle. Oh my goodness, she is so tiny! She is like 7 ish pounds now and Porter is double her size. It was fun to hold and snuggle her but I am glad I have my little big boy. :)

Hair cut

I cut my hair like a week ago! Just a silly whim that I just followed through on! I cut it about 11 inches and didn't like the back and I went the next day to complain......so, they cut it another inch and a half! I like it now though. I really miss my long hair, but this is so easy. I will post a better picture soon. It's all I have now.

House Dreams

We have been looking for a house for a while now. We went to talk to the lender and got all excited about a new house. We can't afford much (since we don't want to be house poor) but having our own place is so important. We feel like renting is a waste of money. Paying for something that will never be yours is silly for us, since we plan on living here for a long time. :) Anyway, we have got the lender and realtor. We spent all last Friday looking at a whole bunch of houses and found the one that we liked. We tried out the ward and totally loved it! Everyone was super nice. So we were going to offer on the house this week. We also wanted to show our parents to see what they thought. Well, we made the appointment with the realtor and......the house was made an offer and they told us they were going to take it! I was so sad. I really liked that house. Josh said something super spiritual and insightful like "well, we know that's not where the lord wanted us." It's true but I was still sad. So, the hunt continues. There are a million houses for sale right now so I am not too worried. :) We are going to look in Magna now (it's super close to where Josh works.....). Wish us luck!

Sr. Prom (for the little sis)

My sister asked me to do her hair for her Senior Prom today. I thought that I did such a fantastic job! :) She looks so beautiful! She is going with a really nice guy, so I am super happy about that! I have tons more to write about. Cutting my hair almost 12 inches, my brother and his family are in town, and we found a house we want to buy.....so much to come.

NEW JOB!

Josh got a new job! That is our most exciting news!!! He interviewed with GE (general electric) on Wednesday and they wanted him to come back Thursday morning and have another interview. The Thursday morning interview lasted 15 min. All they did was offer him the job. He will be working at GE health care calibrating the x-ray machines before they are sent out. He will (sadly) be working the night shift. 10 pm to 6 am. It sucks for me but I am so happy to know that he has something that he likes to do, and is good at. Maybe he can move to day shift after a while....who knows. :)

To the Doctor today

So we went to the Doctor finally! CHIP went through. I am so grateful! The doc checked him out and said if it weren't for the vomiting he would think that he is such a healthy boy! I couldn't believe it! Porter hasn't had blood in his poop for a while, at all, but I did mention that to the doctor. He said to watch the vomiting and then call him in a week. Nothing else! He said it may just be that his reflex is bad. He mentioned that allot of babies don't know how to catch it and that the little "flap" doesn't know how to completely close. But, I guess I'll be watching it. Other than throwing up at least every day, my little guy is so fun and cute. As you can see. :)
